Retire? Who, me?
Nope, it’s never even crossed my mind!
Why would I? I love my job. I love my company and everyone in it. I love our publisher partners. I love our marketer/advertisers! Too much love? Perhaps.
The times? “The times, they are a ‘hurting.” It’s pretty rough out there right now, but I feel some confidence that it’s going to get better soon, and all of us mentioned here will thrive, as we’re meant to, instead of just surviving.

Marlys Fox.
So, retirement is not part of my business plan!
But I’ll share this with you, for a more serious approach: A little while ago, I was interviewed by Carla Kalogeridis, of Kalo Media, and the subject matter for the magazine article was the importance of face-to-face (f2f) selling in our media-assets business.
And I believe that especially right now, we should meet, we should become industry partners, we should present and our buyers should react, and then we see if we can serve those we represent to the fullest degree, as in selling and in buying the available media assets.
We fleshed the concept out very nicely, Carla being the professional interviewer that she is. Later, as our conversation was winding down, she asked me if I had any plans to retire.
I answered—truthfully—that no, I had absolutely no plans or intentions to retire.
But then I added: “Of course, when the Great Media Director in the Sky calls me for a face-to-face meeting, well, I am going to have to take it.”
So, fingers crossed that He doesn’t call anytime soon. Meanwhile, I am available for any f2f meetings with any of you!
