Marlys’ December Commentary: A Pause for Thanks and Thoughts about the season

Paws For Thoughts

By Marlys Fox

That feeling—it starts around Thanksgiving, continues through all of the religious holidays, and culminates in the December 25 Christmas date, and then finally through the end of the year.

What is it? It’s that profound feeling of gratitude—thanksgiving—if you will, that I feel about all of the people that I work with doing everything possible to help me and my company succeed in the business world.
It’s every ‘fox’ who works so hard to serve our clients well. They are the best.
And it’s every publisher client that entrusts their advertising revenue production to us. We are so thankful for your trust. We are so heavily committed to making it happen.
And it’s every marketer who works with us to bring their sales messages to our unique audiences—we will never let you down.

I’m personally touched by the various religions of the world that find great meaning during this time of the year. I’m appalled by the events in Australia this past week. But I am heartened by my recent time in Bhutan—and India too—where the calming influence of Buddhism is readily apparent in a volatile part of our world.
So let us all give thanks. Let us all close out the year with peace and joy. And let’s look to 2026 to being the best new year ever!
